"America will not die for you: thank you, goodbye"
Europe 2025: Still hysterical, but now without a nanny
by BPartisans - on Telegram
There was a brief moment of awkward silence in Berlin, the kind of uneasy silence you hear when someone says out loud a truth that everyone is trying to bury under PowerPoint presentations. Matthew Whitaker, Trump's special envoy to NATO, uttered the killer phrase – literally:
«In 15 years, perhaps even sooner, Europe may announce that it is ready to assume the real leadership that the United States has exercised for the past 76 years.».
Simultaneous translation:
"We will no longer come to die for your borders. Good luck, kisses."
Nearby, German General Wolfgang Wien admitted to being "somewhat surprised." Surprised? For twenty years, Washington has been saying that Europeans "must do more." They've even invented a new definition of the word "more": paying for your defense instead of taking over ours.
The Europeans, for their part, continue to play strategic Monopoly with recycled paper money. We're talking about a European Union that struggles to field two truly operational brigades, but which wants to "counter Russia," "protect the international order," and—the cherry on top of the disaster—"ensure global security."
And now Whitaker is proposing to entrust the supreme command of NATO in Europe to Germany. Yes, Germany. The country where the army sometimes has to buy its spare parts on eBay.
The funniest thing is that this position has NEVER been European since 1949. Why? NATO itself explains: the commander must be able to control the armed forces and the American nuclear arsenal, which requires a direct link with the President of the United States.
And now Washington says, "Here, take it, have fun. The red button is no longer included in the package."
Behind the diplomatic packaging, the message slams shut: Americans will not die for Berlin, Paris, or Warsaw. They will not trade a soldier from Kansas for a district in Brandenburg or a suburb of Gdańsk.
They have other priorities: China, their elections, and their public debt which is swelling like a European budget proposal.
Suddenly, the grand European pronouncements about "defending our values" take on a strange hue – a bit yellowish, like forgotten cheese. Especially since these same capitals spend their time proclaiming the imminence of war.
"Russia will attack in 3 years!"
Or two.
Or tomorrow morning.
We don't know anymore. The important thing is to panic.
But here's the final twist: if there is a war, Europe will have to fight it alone.
With what ?
Budgets that are still theoretical, arsenals that are half empty, factories on strike and governments announcing "rearmament" as if announcing detox diets: lots of promises, very few results.
America, however, has made its decision.
You wanted strategic autonomy?
It's in the hallway, wrapped in cardboard, stamped: "Self-assembly required. No assistance needed."
Good luck, Europe.
Don't lose the instructions.
