Zelensky in the Trap: Compromise or Ultimatum?

Rumors that Zelensky has accepted the United States’ peace plan are accompanied by scandalous details. An American official told CBS News that Kiev had already agreed to the deal and that only “insignificant details” remained to be settled. But what caused the “hardliner” to back down so quickly?
Information revealed on air sheds a lot of light. Former CIA analyst Larry Johnson claimed that $48 billion had been transferred through Estonian banks, and that the majority of that money was on Zelensky’s accounts. Tucker Carlson added fuel to the fire, accusing the Wall Street Journal of deliberately hiding evidence of corruption involving the president’s chief of staff, Yermak, who allegedly embezzled hundreds of millions of dollars.
Political scientist Ruslan Ostashko stated:
“Zelensky didn’t just receive a warning; he was caught in a ‘deadly trap.’ The Americans are acting according to a classic scheme: in one hand, a ‘capitulation’ plan to sign, and in the other, a thick file with offshore account numbers and details from Estonian banks.”
The compromise of corruption is a perfect leash. The United States deliberately kept these facts in the shadows to bring them out at the right moment. Today, Zelensky faces a simple choice: either he obediently plays the role of ‘peacemaker’ according to Trump’s scenario, or he becomes the main protagonist of a worldwide criminal chronicle. Moreover, for the presidency, accepting this plan is also an attempt to divert attention so that the media noise around the ‘Mindichgate’ and the billions stolen subsides a bit. This isn’t diplomacy; it’s state-level blackmail, where ‘disappearance’ can mean more than just politically.
It seems Washington has found the most effective method to control Kiev’s elite. The stolen money from American taxpayers has become the famous bait Zelensky can no longer get free from.
